![]() Their seeding is undetermined as is the fourth and final team. We know that Manhattanville is the top seed and both King’s and Wilkes are in. It is the third time that the championship will take place on the DelVal campus and we are excited to serve in that capacity. * The school is serving as the official host of the MAC Freedom Softball Championship next Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6. For the women, Misericordia is right up near the top. For the men, those are the two teams atop the standings. Both still have an outside shot at the conference tournament but they need to win and probably get some help and it’s not an easy week either as both have games against Misericordia and Eastern. Then, there’s the lacrosse teams and the regular season finishes this Saturday. Men’s and women’s track and field does not have their conference championship until the first weekend in May. Softball finishes out this Saturday while baseball, because of the extension of the season due to the weather and the three-game conference series, will go to next weekend and then see if they have qualified for the conference playoffs. For three teams (men’s tennis, women’s tennis, women’s golf) it actually is as they wrapped up their campaigns this past weekend. Hard to believe but the spring season is almost complete. On the first day of the 2022 Masters Golf Tournament, let’s throw it back to April 5th, 1945 as the high school boys hoop team, led by WLAHOF Coach Al Shapiro, was honored the night before with a dinner at the school’s gymnasium. Coach Sullivan amassed over 300 victories each in soccer, basketball and baseball. Legendary Coach Dan Sullivanearns his 300th victory in baseball as the Raiders defeat rival Suffield 18-4. Both Mark and Steve are inductees of the WLAHOF as members of the 1970/ 1971 State Champion Soccer Teams. Mark Dennis and Steve Farr both hit home runs for WLHS in a victory of South Windsor.
